Stephen Taylor PAT Testing can also test your microwave oven to ensure the radiation levels emitted are within the recommended limits. Regular testing of these appliances will ensure any faults are noted and rectified immediately, lack of cleanliness, frequent use and poor maintenance of the door seals may become a health and safety hazard without you even being aware.
The test
Microwave Oven testing will entail:
- Measuring the levels of radiation around the oven to ensure they remain within recommended limits
- Visual examination of the interlock switches and the door seals, to locate any damage which may impair the function and safety of the appliance.
The microwave testing will comply with the following standards:
- BS EN 60335-2-90 2006 Safety of Household Electrical Appliances
- BS EN 60335-2-25 2002 Requirements for Microwave Ovens
